Fastcomet is one of the few independently owned high quality shared and cloud hosting providers in the world. They were founded in 2013 and had steady growth until now. They host more than 50000 websites with 75 employees operating in 10 data centers around the world.
Their great performance and some exciting features at a very affordable price is what made us look closely at them. We tested their hosting by actually purchasing their hosting and hosting a test account with them.
Let’s see how they perform compared to other hosting in their category.
In this Fastcomet review, we will be comparing them with SiteGround and Bluehost. SiteGround is rated #1 in our annual web hosting rating for 2019, whereas Bluehost is the most popular web hosting in the world right now with their parent company EIG hosting around 6% of entire websites in the world. All these three web hosting offers similar hosting packages for a similar price.
We analyzed the following aspect of Fastcomet.

While it’s pretty standard to offer 99.99% uptime by a hosting company, not many hosting companies are able to fulfill that promise.
Does Fastcomet fulfill its 99.99% uptime guarantee?
We tested this by recording the uptime of our test website using a tool called Pingdom.
Here, you can see the result.
Fastcomet recorded an uptime of 99.98% with a total downtime of 10 minutes for a 15 day period. Even though the uptime is not perfect, a downtime of just 10 minutes is not that bad considering their hosting starts at just $2.95/mo. However, both SiteGround and Bluehost recorded an uptime of 100% for the same period.
Moreover, Fastcomet applies a 10% credit of monthly fee for each hour of network downtime, up to 100% of the monthly fee for the affected service.
Everyone wants a fast website, no one likes to keep waiting. Slow website kills user experience, increases bounce rate and also impacts your search engine ranking. As a result, speed is important than ever before.
We tested the speed of Fastcomet’s test website using a tool called a Loadimpact. This tool records the response time of a webpage as the traffic is increased from 1 to 100 visitors. This way, it will tell us how fast your web page will respond when there are multiple people visiting your website at the same time.
Here’s the result.
Is this fast?
We compared it with the result of SiteGround and Bluehost.
Fastcomet speed was better than both SiteGround and Bluehost until 30 concurrent visits. After that, their response time was higher and eventually stopped responding once the traffic reached 50 concurrent visits. This means that Fastcomet shared hosting plan is not suitable for very popular websites with a high number of concurrent visits at the same time. That said, if you have a popular website, you should be looking at Managed VPS or Cloud hosting from some other providers like SiteGround and Kinsta.
On the other hand, SiteGround response time was very consistent until 100 visits even though we tested their shared hosting account. This explains, why they are ranked #1 in our best web hosting list. However, Fastcomet responded way faster than Bluehost in this test.
Almost every hosting company offers 24/7 Live Chat/ Phone and Email support. However, not all of them are efficient and fast in solving any issue that you might have with your website. Poor support will transfer your request from Live chat to a ticketing team even for a small problem, where it will take days to resolve.
How effective is Fastcomet support?
Fastcomet offers 24/7 Live Chat and Ticketing support. We tested both these features by actually contacting them through both the channels.
Their live chat was quick to connect, took only a few seconds. In addition, they solved my issue within just 3 minutes of getting connected. That’s impressive considering hosting like Bluehost takes around 2 minutes to just get connected to their Live Chat.
Likewise, we tested the efficiency of their ticketing team. The result was impressive with a first response time of just 9 minutes. In comparison, SiteGround offers the best support in the entire web hosting industry and they only guarantee a reply within the first 10 minutes for their ticketing system.
Like many hosting companies, Fastcomet chooses to use a third-party hosting interface called cPanel for their hosting accounts. cPanel is one of the most used interfaces with big hosting companies like GoDaddy, Bluehost and HostGator using them. If you happen to migrate from any of the above hosting companies, then you will not find any difficulty to adjust to a new interface.
Is cPanel good?
I have used cPanel and custom interface offered by companies like SiteGround and Kinsta. I would prefer to go with the custom interface as it’s more simple and customized for that particular hosting company. Whereas I find cPanel to be clogged with so many features and as a result, navigating through cPanel is sometimes difficult. Also, the custom interface offered by SiteGround is very fast and simple compared to cPanel.
Pricing and Features
Fastcomet’s pricing is very competitive and affordable. Their lowest plan starts at $2.95/mo with one website and $15GB storage. In comparison, SiteGround plan starts at $3.95/mo for one website and 10GB disk space. If you are on a budget, they are clearly cheaper and affordable than SiteGround.
Here’s a table on Fastcomer’s plans, pricing, and features.
#Fastcomet offers 7/30 day automatic cloud backup
Fastcomet offers a one-click restore of the last 30 day’s cloud backup that is stored on a server different from where your website files are stored. In the case of Fastcomet’s starter plan, the backup is available only for the last 7 days, whereas, Fastcomet Extra plan offers backup for the last 30 days.
#45-day moneyback guarantee
Fastcomet offers a 45-day unconditional money-back guarantee on all their hosting packages. However, this feature is not available for any domain purchased on that account.
#Free website transfer
Are you migrating from another hosting? Fastcomet’s support will transfer your website from your last hosting to theirs for free. You don’t need to worry about any technical details about this transfer as their support will take care of the entire transfer. In contrast, Bluehost costs $149 for website transfer.
#3x for renewals
Similar to many top hosting companies, Fastcomet renewals are as high as 3x the renewal price. For example, their lowest shared plan will cost you $9.95/mo during renewal when compared to their initial price of $2.95/mo.
#Performance issue for highly popular websites
As discussed earlier, they have an issue when handling a high number of visitors at the same time. However, if you are receiving a steady flow of visitors at a given time, then you will be getting good speed.
We have seen lots of people not look into this aspect when buying web hosting. Having a data center at a location closest to your target audience benefits in a lot of ways such as:
- It helps you rank better in Google for that particular location.
- Improves website speed by reducing latency.
- Data protection laws.
More on why it’s important to choose the right data center location can be read using the following article.
- Chicago – The United States (USA);
- Dallas – The United States (USA);
- Newark – The United States (USA);
- Toronto – Canada (CA);
- London – England (UK);
- Amsterdam – Netherlands (NL);
- Frankfurt – Germany (DE);
- Singapore – Singapore (SG);
- Tokyo – Japan (JP);
- Mumbai – India (IN)
We recommend you choose the data center closest to your target audience.
Fastcomet isn’t the most popular hosting available right now. Hostings like Bluehost and SiteGround are way popular thanks to their excellent marketing and affiliate network. Founded in 2013, Fastcomet is slowly picking up the pace in the last couple of years, now hosting more than 50,000 websites around the world.
Below is a Google trend report on Fastcomet’s popularity in the last 5 years. As you can see, their popularity is increasing year by year as a result of their excellent hosting packages.
However, their popularity is very low compared to SiteGround and Bluehost as seen below.
What do people say about Fastcomet?
We checked so many social media networks to see what people have to say about Fastcomet. People are very satisfied with what Fastcomet offers and are all praise for them except one or two who had some issues with their support. All in all, it can be said most of their existing customers are happy with their service.
Fastcomet is a top choice budget shared hosting with so many exciting features. Their performance is on par or better than some of the highly established hosting brands like Bluehost and HostGator. In addition, their support is one of the best in the industry with fast responses.
We are happy to recommend Fastcomet to anyone looking for a quality hosting for their website.
